Patience. It’s all about patience. It’s about the patience to wait for hours for the few minutes that the light is perfect – and then being prepared for the exact second when nature matches the image in my mind’s eye. It’s about the patience to craft the print without resorting to cheap digital manipulations. The color you see in my prints matches the colors of the original film. It’s about the patience to wait for technology to catch up to my vision. The glicleé prints we're currently producing not only match the results of more traditional ciba chrome prints – they surpass it. Creating these works has enriched my life in ways that I'd be hard pressed to express in words. I think the work speaks more eloquently then I ever could. It’s my hope that these images enrich your life as well. – Bruce Claypool, photographer. May 19, 2004. Also Visit: |
